5 Things to Take In Daily For a Healthy Skin

Having healthy skin isn’t just about the beauty product you use. If you want healthy glowing skin, it is advisable to eat well-nourished food that will help your skin stay soft, supple and blemish-free. Here are five foods to eat for healthy skin.

1. Water:

Taking enough water is one of the simplest and speedy ways to boost your skin glow. You can add some citrus fruits which act as a powerful anti-inflammatory. Water increases skin elasticity, prevents aging of the skin, it also keeps acne away.

Taking water every day doesn’t mean your skin will change overnight, it requires consistently taking in more water to see the changes with time.

2. Sweet Potatoes:

Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables gives a more healthy, more attractive, and radiant glow. Potatoes provide 200 percent of the needed nutrients recommended for your skin

Sweet potatoes are also rich in Vitamin C and E which are essential vitamins that keep the skin healthy, glowing, and supple. Vitamin C boosts collagen which tightens your skin. Sweet Potato contains antioxidants which are responsible for a natural sheen and help prevent blemishes and dark spots.

It is best when eaten boiled, frying potatoes may limit its nutritional form. Boiling helps to preserve carbohydrates and essential nutrients needed in the skin.

3. Tomatoes:

Tomatoes contains Vitamin A, C and K, magnesium, and calcium.

It is advisable to eat tomatoes daily. This can protect against sunburn. Tomatoes are rich in lycopene. Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that preserves the skin from ultraviolet damage.

Tip: Slice Tomatoes into little pieces, add a little salt and pepper. This will serve as a snack.

4. Red Peppers:

These are vitamin C powerhouses. Vitamin C is needed in the body to make collagen, the most abundant protein in your body, which provides structure to your skin. Add a few of this to your food.

Red sweet peppers are good for your skin because they consist of both vitamins C and A, with little quantity of Vitamin K which is vital for healthy blood vessels.  Red pepper is perfect for any diet, so it is easy for you to take.

5. Salmon:

Adding Salmon to your diet improves your internal hydration. Keeping your skin moisturized makes it glow. Salmon contains healthy omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids that nourish your skin from within.
