As long as losing or maintaining your weight is concerned, Fruit and Vegetable Recipes are the way to go. I will advice you don’t joke with this, especially if your body type is like mine. It is very easy for me to gain or lose weight. But vegetables and fruits help me maintain my weight.

Below, I have compiled a list of some Fruit and Vegetable Recipes that will give you the drop in size that you need.


1. Apple Salsa

Apples help to keep away excess fat. They are rich in fibre, beta-carotene and flavonoids which helps to reduce excess cravings by keeping your belly full.


1 Apple (chopped in small cubes)

Lettuce (sliced thinly)

One leaf of cabbage (sliced thinly)

½ tablespoon coconut oil

Salt to taste



Put apple, lettuce and cabbage in a bowl. Sprinkle ½ tablespoon coconut oil. Add salt. Toss together and serve. 


2. Tomato Macaroni Salad

Tomatoes aids the production of the amino acid called Carnitine. Carnitine helps to regulate fatty acids and energy metabolism. Tomatoes also contain compounds that help reduce lipids in the blood, thereby preventing weight gain and belly fat.


2 big ball of fresh tomatoes (sliced in half-moon shape)

1 avocado (sliced to small cubes)

1 green pepper (slice to small cubes)

1 small cup of macaroni

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Seasoning of your choice



Boil macaroni with water and seasoning.  Drain water and serve in a bowl. Add avocado, green pepper, and fresh tomatoes. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon coconut oil and toss to blend well. 


3. Pineapple Juice Topping

Pineapples are weight-loss friendly. It contains bromelain, an enzyme that has anti-inflammatory properties. 


1 cup of fresh pineapple juice

1 small cabbage (sliced thinly)

1 green pepper (sliced in cubes)

2 sticks of chopped celery

Half a hand-full of washed spinach

A pinch of salt



Place all ingredients in a bowl, one after the other. Pour pineapple juice in the bowl. Add a pinch of salt. Toss content together. Serve.


4. Watermelon Meal With Banana Topping

Being the fruit with 94 percent water, watermelon tends to burn more calories during the digestion process. 


I plate of chopped watermelons

A half plate of grapes

A half plate of chopped pineapples 

1 finger of smoothly mashed banana


Add grapes and pineapple in the watermelon plate. Pour in the mashed banana. Stir well or toss. 


5. Avocados Meal

Avocados contain fibre which can keep your belly full for longer. This helps curb a craving. It also contains monounsaturated fatty acid, which is great for your heart.


1 whole avocado (sliced)

1 finger of chopped banana

Half cup of grated cucumber

1 lime

A pinch of salt to taste



Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Squeeze in the lime juice. Add a pinch of salt.



6. Banana Pancakes and Orange Juice

Oranges help move your bowl, contains zero fat and is a rich source of anti-oxidants.


3 Oranges 

5 tablespoons of water

I tablespoon flour

2 fingers of banana

1 small plate of chopped cucumbers

Chilli pepper 

1 tablespoon coconut oil

Seasoning of your choices.



Cut open your oranges. Get an orange juice extractor and extract the juice. Pour in a plastic jug and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Blend banana to a smooth paste. Combine with water, pepper, cucumber, seasoning and flour. Mix thoroughly. Place pan on medium heat. Drop a tablespoon of coconut oil. Allow to heat a bit and pour in your banana mixture. Allow to cook for 3 minutes or until under is brown. Flip pancake on the other side. Allow to cook until brown. 

Serve with cold fresh orange juice 


7. Grapefruits Juice

Grapefruits are great fat burners. However, taking it alone means you won’t be having a balanced diet. So you have to take it before eating, while eating and/or after eating. 


2 grapefruits



Cut open the grapefruit. Extract the juice with an extractor and pour in a jug. Refrigerate for about an hour. Serve cold grapefruit juice in a glass.  


8. Pawpaw Salad

Pawpaw, also known as Papaya, is a rich source of carotene, vitamins C and flavonoids. It contains natural enzymes that help promote easy and fast digestion of food.


1 plate of chopped Pawpaw.

A half plate of chopped avocado

A half plate of green pepper

Half can of Green peas

1 thinly sliced lettuce leaves

1 tablespoon coconut oil 

A pinch of salt.



Combine the fruits and vegetables in a bowl. Sprinkle in coconut oil and a pinch of salt. Serve
