In 2018, I stumbled on Eti’s Instagram page and instantly fell in love with what she does. She’s one farmer who pushes past whatever limit or obstacle you set on her path. It was on her page I first saw how snails lay eggs, and how to manually grow mushrooms.
I clicked the follow button right away and since then, I have watched her grow. Now let me tell you about this Lady.
In 2018, Eti was already into Agro-Advocacy and training but needed structures, as she wasn’t getting running as an individual. Even some people won’t do serious business with her, so she registered ‘Agroinnovation Business Hub‘ early December 2018.
Her first training for 2019 was free of charge. But she met amazing people, some of who connected her to paid training.
When she opened up their vegetable farm investment for business and training, a small girl with no record, people made fun of it but God came through. Very few people paid for all the slots, with some taking 5, 3, 4, and so on. God gave her and her team the best set of people because it didn’t go as planned. They exceeded the maturity date but the buyers and trainees understood and supported her. They eventually paid off all investors and started a second cycle.
In February 2019, she had the rare privilege to share a table with Linda Ikeji and many other amazing women to talk about her businesses. She also got admitted into the Aspiring Entrepreneurship Digital Programme initiated by Fate Foundation and supported by Facebook. This program helped structure her business greatly and she’s thankful for the privilege because she has thought this same structure to a lot of her students who are grateful for the knowledge, as it has helped boost their businesses too.
Eti had engagements on radio platforms like Mindscope with Segilola on ekofm87.9. There were also speaking engagements and newspaper features.
As her business testimonial grows in Snail, Plantain and Vegetables, she is now trusted by a lot of people who have referred her, trained with her, or bought Agro inputs from her. The positive feedback has been mind-blowing.
Oh! How many have looked down on Eti because she is female, and a small one at that? But they always come back to apologize because they see the value she brings in rearing and selling of snails.
In 2019, she met an amazing community of writers just when she was struggling to write an ebook on Snail farming. One month later, she launched “All You Need to Know About Snail Farming” her first ebook. You should get it!
